Facilities and Services

West Penn Burn Center provides comprehensive care for children and adults who have suffered burn injuries. The Center also is the hub of research projects, education initiatives and community outreach programs.

Our state-of-the-art facilities include:

• 14 patient beds
• Private, temperature-controlled, ventilated rooms
• Six specially equipped beds for the most critically injured
• Advanced treatment rooms
• Comfortable family waiting room
• Unique children’s playroom
• Facilities to treat thermal, electrical or chemical injuries
• Services for inhalation injuries

Since it opened its doors in 1969, West Penn Burn Center has treated more than 10,000 burn patients. From infants to senior citizens, Center staff are skilled at providing the special care required for all levels of burns and all age groups.
