At West Penn Burn Center, we believe that preventing burn injuries is as important as treating burn victims. That’s why community outreach is an important part of the Center’s mission.

Free burn prevention, a special Scald Prevention Program and safety outreach programs for the community are available. These programs can be part of a community event — for example, a community health fair — or offered by a community group to its members and the neighborhood.
